LENA IRWIN

Lena Irwin, 101, of Nevada IA, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 1986, at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

She was born Sept. 10, 1884, at Springfield, IL to Thomas and Kristin (Johnson) Rounds.

She was first married to Bruce Sutherland and after his death she married William Kepke. After Mr. Kepke's death she married Tom Irwin. He died in 1976.

Mrs. Irwin moved to Nevada in 1978 from Des Moines. She had been a homemaker.

She was a member of East Gate Chapter 538, Order of the Eastern Star, in Des Moines IA.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday Aug. 22, at Cooper Ryan Funeral Home 5th St. and Lincoln Highway, Nevada, with Rev. William Ballard officiating. Interment will be in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada IA.

Survivors include four sons, Glen Sutherland of Des Moines; Luther Sutherland of Des Moines; Wayne Sutherland of California, and Darrel Sutherland of California; a daughter, Marie Mills of Nevada; 30 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, one daughter, four brothers and three sisters.
