Funeral Services Held Sat. For Mrs. Ole Jacobson

STORY CITY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Ole O. Jacobson were held Saturday afternoon, December 13, at 2 o'clock in the St. Petri Lutheran church in Story City. A prayer service at the Larson-Peterson Funeral home preceded the service. The Rev. Ocee Johnson, pastor of the church officiated. Mrs. Robert Hermanson was the pianist at the funeral home and also sang, "O God the Rock of Ages."

At the church service, the choir sand "Come Soothing Death," and at the close of service, Mr. Vincent Roach of Ames sang "The Lord's Prayer."

Pall bearers were: Gerhard Toft, Herbert Egenes, William Jacobson, Dan Jacobon, Leonard Jacobson and Lester Peterson.

The remains were laid to rest in the Story City Cemetery.

Obituary

Caroline Jondall Jacobson was born Nov. 6, 1892, at Story City, Iowa, and passed away on December 11, 1952, at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames at the age of 60 years and five weeks, her parents being the late Ole and Elsa Jondall.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. Petri Lutheran church, having been a life-long member and also an active member of the Ladies Aid.

On November 19, 1918, she was united in marriage to Ole O. Jacobson. To this union two daughters were born, Mary Jane, Mrs. Melbourne Henderson of Story Ciity, and Marjorie, Mrs. Robert Kenny of Ames. She also reared a step-daughter, Eleanor, Mrs. Lee Thomas of Rapid City, South Dakota.

Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband and three daughters; three sisters and one brothers Mrs. Thea Barnes, Mrs. Clarence Jacobson, Marie Jondall and Henry Jondall; four grandchildren, Ronald and Jane Henderson, Stephen and Freddie Chase; also four nephews and one niece.

That she has found peace through the assurance of God's mercy in Christ is in the comfort which sustains her family in their bereavement.
