Samuel Holder is dead at 88, rites pending

Samuel V. Holder, 1540 First Street, Nevada, died Wednesday evening at the Story County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past two weeks.

Mr. Holder, 88, had been ill for the past three years.

Born November 37, 1882 at Stratford, he was the son of John L. and Hannah Booher Holder.

He had been a resident of Nevada for the past 15 years.

He was married to Miss Grace V. Nicholson April 19, 1931 at Crookston, Minn.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Grace; two daughters, Mrs. Bernard Mehr of Butte, Mont. and Mrs. Clarence Larson of Fresno, Calif.; two brothers, Carl Holder of Nevada and Everett Holder of Duluth, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. Rena Phillips of Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Ryan Funeral Home.
