Holm Funeral Was Held on Wednesday
Special to the Journal.
Story City, Sept. 14--Funeral services for T. T. Holm were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the St. Petri church, Rev. W. B. Scarvie officiating. Burial was made in the Fairview cemetery. The pall bearers were B. B. Brattebo, C. N. Christensen, John Lee, D. B. Olson, A. M. Henderson and E. L. Ericson.Tom T. Holm was born in Norway July 26, 1857 and died Sept. 8, 1929, at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines being 72 years old at the time of his death. His death followed an operation for gall stones which he underwent two days before. He came to this country and settled in Story City in 18877 [sic]. He went into the harness business and in a few years sold out and moved to Ihlen, Minn., where he spent about seven years, farming. He then returned to Story City and purchased the Henderson and Henderson hardware store, which business he was in at the time time of his death.
Mr. Holm leaves his wife, three daughters, and one son, Mrs. Albert Larson, Alvene and Torbjorn Holm of Story City, and Mrs. Henry Henderson of Kenyon, Minn., also four grandchildren and a brother B. T. Holm of Story City and two brothers and a sister in Norway.
