Obituary for Jon Allen Wheeler

Jon Wheeler 71, passed away at home October 1, 2018 of natural causes.

Jon was born in Des Moines, IA and lived in Ankeny, until 1961 when his family moved to Ames. He graduated Ames High school and attended Iowa State University. He was married to Jody Shear and together they had daughter Angela. The marriage ended in divorce and Jon married Nancy Maxwell with whom they had daughter Samantha. Jon worked for several years at Eagle Iron Works in Des Moines before starting his own consulting company, JONCO.

Jon is survived by his daughters, Angela Defer of Michigan, Samantha Wheeler of Des Moines; brothers, Charles (David) Wheeler and Mark Wheeler, both of Ames along with grandchildren and great grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his second wife Nancy Wheeler and his parents.

Services will be held at a later date.
