DEATHS

SELMER E. ENDRELAND

Funeral services for Selmer E. Endreland were held in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, Monday, July 30 at 2 p.m. Pastor C. A. Gisselquist officiated.

Mrs. Clara Anderson, soloist, sang "Den Store Hvide Flok" and "Blessed Assurance." Mrs. Harold Olson was organist. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clifford Boe, Luther Matson, Otis Frette, Reuben Sansgaard, Mervin Teig and In golf Brekke. Honorary pallbearers were Henry Thorsbakken, Amos Osmondson, Willie Egemo, Herschel Williams, Chester Pearson and Gerhard Erickson.

Selmer Edward Endreland, son of Berge and Martha Overland Endreland was born in Boone County near Rosendale, Iowa on October 8, 1890. He was baptized and confirmed in the Clear Lake Lutheran Church. He received his education in the local county school.

During this time he worked on neighboring farms and at an early age he managed the farm on which he retired n 1948. After a farm sale he lived with Luther Teig for three years and later with Mervin Teig until he moved to Story City in 1951. He lived in his own home until March 24, 1973 when he moved to East Lane Manor at Jewell, because of failing health, where he passed away on July 28, at the age of 82 years and 9 months. He was a member of the Immunuel Lutheran Church.

He is survived by three nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ole Endreland.
