OBITUARIES

Ruth M. Boten

Ruth Mary Boten, 79, of Nevada died June 4, 1990 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines of congestive heart failure.

She was born March 7, 1911, in Nevada to John W. and Emma L. Anderson. She graduated from Ames High School and AIB in Des Moines. She married Myron Henry Boten in Story County, was a retired employee of Donnelley Marketing in Nevada and was a member of both Nevada Christian Church and Senior Citizens Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandchild.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary L. Twedt of Newton; two sons, John W. Boten of Moline, Ill., and Larry J. Boten of New Orleans, La., two sisters, Violet H. Chitty of Zearing and Edna M. Underwood of Brooksville, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be held June 7 afternoon at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. Services will be held June 8 at 1 p.m. at Nevada Christian Church with the Rev. Roy Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
