Clarence Bivens Dies at Home Here on Monday

Clarence Bivens, 314 I. Ave., Nevada, died at his home Monday evening at 8:45 at the age of 69.

Born May 20, 1898 in Potomac, Ill., he was the son of James and Lora Bivens. He was married to Hazel Markland June 15, 1921 in Nevada.

Mr. Bivens was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He had lived in Story County for 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Bivens, one son, Gordon Bivens of Washington, D.C., four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. C. C. Simpson of Eldorado, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one son, Mark.

Funeral services are pending at the Ryan Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
