Last Rites Held For Wilbur Irons

Wilbur Irons was born April 24, 1900 to Mr. and Mrs. James Irons at Anthon, Iowa.

He grew up for the most part in Plankinton, S. D., but graduated from the Winterset High School at Winterset, and then attended the State University of Iowa, at Iowa City before going into the service of his country.

August 21, 1923 he was united in matrimony to Neva B. Kriner of Nevada.

In 1929 they moved to Spokane, Wash., where they operated women's apparel stores in Pullman, Pasco, Kennewick, Grangeville and Sunnyside.

Irons was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Spokane, the American Legion, the Elks Lodge, the Kiwanis Club and the Early Birds Club, but his greatest love was hunting and fishing.

Irons died Monday, June 15, 1964 at the age of 64 years.

He is survived by his wife, Neva, two sisters, Mrs. Carl Gumbert of St. Paul, Minn. and Mrs. R. C. Bakewell of Plankinton, S. D., also a niece, Mrs. Robert Fitzgerald of Vancouver, Wash. and a nephew, Robert Bakewell of Custer, S. D.
