Anna Hunter Rites On Sept. 20

Mrs. Anna Hunter was born in Clinton county, Iowa on June 2, 1877 and ied at her home in Story City, Saturday, Sept. 17 at 11:30 p. m., at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 15 days.

She was the daughter of Ole and Anna Hanson Olson. Her mother died when she was a child and her father died in 1929. She was employed in Boone, for some time where she was married to Walter Hunter, in 1907. Two children were born to them, Charles in Kansas City, Mo., and Fern of Story City. Her husband died in 1911.

Besides the two children, she is survived by two grandchildren, Ronald Hunter, Darby, Mont., and Mrs. Marvin Layton, Kansas City, Mo., and two great grandchildren; a half brother, Martin S. Olson and a half sister, Louise Olson, both of Story City. Two brothers, Hans and Ole and a half brother, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. on Tuesday afternoon in the Immanuel Lutheran church, preceded by a prayer service at the Larson Funeral home at 1:30 p. m. Mrs. Benjamin Anderson and Truman Quam sang "Beyond the Sunset," and "Abide With Me," and were accompanied by Mrs. Arvie Jacobson. Casket bearers were Chester and Earl Knutson, Boone; C. L. Hanson, L. A. Hanson, Albert Hanson and Bert Hill, Story City. Burial was in the Story City cemetery.

From a distance in attendance were those from Kansas City, Darby, Mont., Westbrook, Minn., Boone, Marshalltown, Blairsburg, Ames and Ankeny.
