Last Rites For Mrs. L. R. Hunt Wednesday Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. L. R. Hunt, long time resident of Nevada who passed away at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames, Monday morning, were held from the Ryen Funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Rev. O. E. Cooley officiating.

Fred McLain sang "Beautiful Isle" and "Jesus is Calling" accompanied by Mrs. Norman C. Dobson at the piano.

The casket bearers were Frank Kinsman, Lee Cook, Iver Cook, H. M. Vinsel, George Burnett and F. C. Tarman.

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery by the side of the husband, long time Nevada business man, who passed away in Nevada July 1938.

Mrs. Hunt is survived by one sister, Mrs. C. A. McGinnis of Cincinnati, Ohio, here for the last rites, a brother, Frank Carter of Lexington, Ky., other relatives and many friends.

Windsor Carter Hunt, was born and raised in Newport, Ky. In 1890 she was married to Luther Hunt of Cincinnati, Ohio. They lived in Chicago until 1909 when they came to Nevada. Mr. Hunt passed away in 1938,

Mrs. Hunt leaves one brother Frank Carter of Lexington, Ky. One sister Mrs. C. A. McGinnis of Cincinnati, Ohio. Besides these there are other distant relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Hunt was a member of Nevada Methodist church. She was active in the Loyal Sisters class of the Methodist Sunday school. She was a member of the Social Hour club. At one time she belonged to the Eastern Star and the Pythian Sisters.

For several years Mrs. Hunt has not been rugged in health but in spite of this she lived an active life. She was remarkably faithful to her church attendance for one who was not physically well. When her friends called upon her at her apartment at the Byron Bryant home where in late years she made her home, they invariably found her in a cheerful mood. It was not her nature to complain.

Mrs. Hunt cherished her friends. She loved the church and did what she could for it. She loved flowers and all things of nature possessed of beauty.
