DEATH CALLS AGED SETTLER

Mrs. Ingebor Johnson, aged seventy-four years died at the home of daughter, Mrs. Lena Larson Wednesday noon, after an illness covering several months, during which she has been a patient sufferer.

Mrs. Johnson suffered a paralytic stroke some time ago which made her an invalid but she kept a keen interest in the affairs about her and did not take to her bed till a few weeks ago, when she was stricken with bronchial pneumonia, which caused her death.

The aged woman was an early settler in Story county coming here about forty-five years ago wit her first husband, Nels Highland, from Leland, Illinois which was the first place the couple settled after their arrival from Norway. Mr. Highland died in 1888 and about nine years ago the deceased married again to Mr. Johnson, whose home was in Cambridge. He died two years later and for past two years Mrs. Johnson has made her home with her daughter in Nevada.

During her lifetime Mrs. Johnson was a sturdy member of the Lutheran church and was very active in the Ladies Aid Society of the Cambridge church till illness incapacitated her from attending meetings. In this as in all other good works of the church she took a prominent car and it will be with deep regret that many friends will learn of her demise.

The leaves to mourn her, two children, her daughter here and Benjamin Highland of Cambridge, two grandchildren, Mrs. Mary Maxwell of Maxwell and Lewis N. Larson who is in the U. S. Army stationed in California and one great grandchild, Donald Cook.

The funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Lutheran church.
