Funeral Services for Ben Highland Sunday Afternoon

Ben Highland, age almost 69 years, died last evening at the Story county home and infirmary northeast of Nevada, where he had been cared for for a number of years.

Funeral rites for this pioneer son of Story county will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Morfoot Funeral home, after which the body will be laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery. Ben Highland, born July 23, 1875, was a son of Mr. and Mrs. K. O. Highland, earlier day residents of Nevada and was a brother of the late Mrs. Andrew Larson.

He leaves a wife, Nellie Highland, who lives in Cambridge, where Highland had made his home for many years, before failing health made his retirement from work necessary.

The funeral service will be conducted by Dr. J. O. Simon, pastor of Memorial Lutheran church.
