Obituary

Eunice Hanson

Mrs. Charles (Eunice) Hanson, 85, died Thursday morning at the Mesa Christian Church in Mesa, Arizona after an illness of three years. She was a former Des Moines resident, living there from 1915 to 1960 before moving to Mesa in 1964. She was a former employee of Allied Mutual Insurance Company of Des Moines.

Mrs. Hanson was born in Glidden, Iowa on September 19, 1982. She was a member of the Westminister United Presbyterian Church in Des Moines and of the D.A.R. and the American Legion Auxilary.

Mrs. Hanson is survived by a nephew, Ford Hutchinson of Naples, Maine. Also surviving are several in-laws including Mr. and Mrs. Harold Uphill of Gilbert, Iowa; Mrs. Margaret Lomas of Des Moines; Mrs. Minnie Heintz of Nevada; Mrs. Leora Hanson of Nevada; and Newell Maritz of Denver, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and her husband, Charles, who died in 1964.

Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Marvin L. Hulse officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established.

The family will receive friends Monday evening at the Ryan's.
