From Nevada Representative July 12, 1899 (page 5)

A telegram to day announces the death of Mrs. Charlotte Goodell at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Benn in Saint Peter, Minnesota. Her remains are expected in Nevada to-morrow evening, attended by Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Rushmore of this city, and, probably by Mrs. Benn and Mrs. Schumacher of Saint Peter. Funeral services will be held at ten a. m. Friday, in the M. E. church. Mrs. Goodell was a native of Tioga county, Pa. and, with her husband, Samuel B. Goodell, and their family, came to Nevada about twenty years ago. Since the death of Mr. Goodell in 1891 Mrs. Goodell's health has been feeble and her home had been alternatively with her surviving daughters, Mrs. Rushmore of Nevada and Mrs. Benn of Saint Peter, her other daughter, Mrs. Tooker, having passed away some years since. The deceased passed her seventy-fifth birthday January 26, 1899. She was much esteemed, and her death will be regretted by many.
