Death comes to Minnie Boten at age of 83

Mrs. A. H. (Minnie) Boten, 83, died Thursday afternoon at the Story County Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week.

Born December 20, 1887 in Champaign County, Ill., she was the daughter of Peter and Sophia Wallen. She had lived in Nevada the past 60 years and made her home at 1144 K Avenue, Nevada.

She was married to Alfred H. Boten December 26, 1906 in Paxton, Ill. and she was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred; four sons, Myron of Radcliffe, Henry of Decorah, Wayne of Nevada, and Max of Littleton, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Carlson of Mingo, Mrs. R. L. Millslagle of Creston and Mrs. A. L. Harlow of Nevada, 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Pearl Nicewander of Tucson, Ariz.

he was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a grandson, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be at the First Christian Church Monday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Rush officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home until noon Monday. The family will be present Saturday and Sunday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m.
