Sudden Death Of Former Roland Man

Roland, Oct. 3--A telegram was received here Friday by relatives of Mrs. J. J. Ekeland of Alsen, North Dakota, telling of the sudden death of her husband on Wednesday morning. Mr. Ekeland has been afflicted with leakage of the heart for several years, but it was not thought his condition was serious, and his passing away was a shock to his family. The funeral was held there Saturday. Mrs. Ekeland who is well known here is a granddaughter of Mrs. Betsey Sheldahl, and will be remembered by many as Miss Bertha Severson.
