DIED,

At the residence of Asa Joslyn, in Iowa Centre, on Sunday, the 5th inst., FRANK L. DANIELS, a member of Co. K. 32d Iowa Infantry, aged 18 years 11 1/2 months.

The deceased was buried on Monday last with military honors, and the attendance of a large number of friends and citizens, and the school children of Nevada in body. His funeral sermon will be preached next Sabbath at Iowa Centre, by Rev. J. G. Beckley.

The father of the deceased served his full time as a member of Co. E, 3d Iowa Infantry. His mother has been for some time past Matron of the Soldier's Lodge at Memphis, Tennessee, and only reached home a few days before she was called to perform the last sad rites for own soldier boy.

Frank was more than an ordinarily good boy, a prompt and faithful soldier, and an obedient son, beloved by his companions and respected by the community for his quiet and gentle manly habits. As brave old Admiral Porter says: "it seems necessary that some should die, that the Nation might live," and Frank has been a noble sacrifice.

"Soldier rest I thy warfare o'er,
Sleep the sleep that knows no waking;
Dream of battle fields no more,
---rs of danger nights of waking."
