Removeing [sic] after marriage, he connected himself with the M. E. Church, and was a consistent member thereof until death, acting as class-leader during the greater part of the time. In 1856, the deceased removed to this County and has made warm friends during his sojourn. We subjoin the closing sentence of a note we have from Mrs. Ball, descriptive of the final scene.

"Until death he bore sickness with christian fortitude, exhorting his family and friends to meet him in Heaven, the place to which he was going. He lived and died a christian."
