Mrs. Eva Larimer Died This Afternoon

Mrs. Eva Larimer, who had been at Iowa sanitarium for the past week suffering from a heart collapse, died this afternoon about 2 o'clock. The condition of Mrs. Larimer had been exceedingly serious for the past week and her death had been expected for past several days. The brothers and sisters had all been here for several days. Mrs. Larimer is mother Mrs. Jessabel Price of this city and was for many years connected with the Ambrose drygoods store as a saleslady. She was a business woman of ability ans was well known and highly respected by a wide circle of friends over the county.

LARIMER FUNERAL 2:30 WEDNESDAY

AT MORFOOT FUNERAL HOME -- BODY TAKEN LATER TO CHARITON

Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Larimer, who died at Iowa sanitarium here, Monday afternoon at two o'clock, will be held a the Morfoot Funeral home in Nevada Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. Geo. A. Lawton in charge.

The funeral party, with the body will leave here that night over the Rock Island for Chariton and there will be services held at the Beardsley Funeral home there, Thursday afternoon at 2:00, with Rev. Ed. L. Stone of the Chariton Methodist church in charge. Interment will be int he Chariton cemetery.

The members of the immediate family, including the one daughter and her family, the three brothers and six sisters, all of whom had been here, comprise the funeral party to accompany the body to Chariton, where they will be met with other relatives and a host of friends.

Eva Andrew, daughter of J. H. and Lydia J. Andrew, was born in Taylor county, Iowa, where she spent her early childhood. The parents moved with their family to Chariton and there Eva grew to womanhood and was married to Edward Larimer. To this union on child, a daughter, now Jessabel Larimer-Price was born.

About fourteen years ago Mrs Larimer moved to Nevada and accepted a position as head saleslady in the Ambrose stores, which position she was still filling when she became ill.

About ten days ago she contracted a cold and was taken to Iowa sanitarium for treatment, suffered a collapse and later pneumonia developed, death relieving her of her suffering about two o'clock Monday.

Mrs. Larimer is survived by her on daughter Jessabel Larimer-Price and husband Clint Price, and the granddaughters, Marion and Doris Price, as well as her six sisters and three brothers. The sisters are Mrs Sadie Householder of Chariton, Miss Emma Andrew of Los Angeles, Mrs. Myrtle McComas of Traer, Mrs. Jessie Bradbury of Alliance, Neb., Mrss. Mary Nine of Indianola and Mrs. Stella Nolan of Traer. The three brothers are Frank Andrew of Memphis, Tenn., and Arthur Andrew and Merrit Andrew of St. Joseph, Mo.

Mrs. Larimer was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, was also a faithful worker and a regular attendant at the Sunday school. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, in which organization she took an active interest.

Mrs. Larimer had a wide acquaintance in Nevada and Story county formed during her long connection with the merchantile business in Nevada and she had made many close friends, who admired her many sterling qualities.

Cheerful and courteous to all, never complaining and willing to bear the burdens of those around her, her life exemplified many of better teachings of life.

She will be greatly missed in the home, by her family and by a large circle of friends and acquaintances.

This same spirit was evident even during the closing hours of her life during which she frequently expressed her gratitude for the loving attention shown her.
