CASE FUNERAL SUNDAY AFTERNOON

WAS HELD AT 2:30 AFTER WHICH INTERMENT WAS IN NEVADA CEMETERY

Funeral services for Charles H. Case, 57, who died at his home 1105 Eighth street, Friday evening, after a lingering illness, were held at the Morfoot Funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2:30, after which interment was in the Nevada cemetery.

The funeral which was largely attended was in charge of his pastor Rev. Geo. A. Lawton and interment was according to the ritualistic ceremonies of the Masonic Lodge, of which the deceased was a longtime member.

There were two songs by a mixed quartette consisting of Mrs. Freeland, Mrs. Hathaway, Dr. Hathaway and Mr. Stevens, while the flowers were in charge of Mrs. Montgomery and Mrs. Crouch.

Chas. H. Case was born August 24, 1873, in New Haven, Conn., and died at his home in Nevada, Nov. 21, 1930, aged 58 years, 2 months and 27 days.

When he was three years old his family moved to Chicago and later to Iowa. He grew to manhood in Audubon county. On Oct. 5, 1898 he was united in marriage with Miss Effie Perry. To this union two sons were born, Perry D. and Theron H., both of Nevada.

After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Case lied for ten years in Mason City. In 1908 they move to Nevada which place has since been their home, with the exception of three years. Until his health failed about three years ago, Mr. Case was engaged in business here and also took an active part in the various activities of community.

In 1899, Mr. Case united with the Baptist church at Mason City. After moving to Nevada he united with the M. E. Church and was very loyal to his church. He was also a member of the Masonic lodge.

The one brother is S. H. Case of Crawford, Neb., while the five sisters are Mrs. Mary Rickerson of Walthill, Neb., Mrs. Emma Burnett of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Elizabeth Warner of Los Angeles, Mrs. Clara Fuchs of Berkley Heights, N. J., and Mrs. Harry St. John of Florida.

Out-of-town friends and relatives in attendance at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Harroun of Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. James Bradley, Des Moines, Mrs. and Mrs. James Farley, Blue Earth, Minn, Mrs. Lucy McPherson, Mrs. Dadd and Mrs. Cornell of Boone, Miss Grace Perry of Perry, sister of Mrs. Case and her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Benshoff and son Howard of Grimes.
