Mokelbust Funeral Friday Afternoon

McCallsburg, Nov. 24--The funeral of Mrs. O. A. Moklebust was held Friday afternoon at the Lutheran church with Rev. H. N. Bakke officiating. The music was furnished by Mrs. Berger Imsland and Mrs. Ray Skartvedt who sang as duets, "Face to Face" and "Does Jesus Care?" and Rev. Sams of Illinois Grove sand a solo, "No Burdens Yonder."

F. J. Tett, John Morris, A. S. Hanson, John Bergland, Lewis Lura and Tygo Caltvedt served as pallbearers and the beautiful flowers were cared for by Mrs. E. O. Dillin and Mrs. Lewis Lura. Burial was in the Warren township cemetery.

Margaret Sadie Waage was born at Roland, Nov. 22, 1869, and died at her home here at McCallsburg, Nov. 19 1930. Had she lived until Saturday she would have been 61 years of age. She was married to Oscar A. Moklebust in 1896, at Roland. To this union were born five children, Mable, Owen, Sanford and Stella, who are still at home and Mrs. Margaret Steward of State Center. All of whom have been at home assisting in the car of their mother and who with the husband are left to mourn her going.

She also leaves on grandchild, three sisters, Mrs. Caroline Henderson of Lancaster, Minn.; Mrs. Jennie Cope, Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Helen Huston, Seattle, Wash., and two brothers, George Waage, Seattle, Wash., and Oliver Waage, Nevada, Iowa.

The first four years of their married life were spent at Gilbert, later they moving to Roland and in 1905 came to McCallsburg where they have since resided.

Mrs. Mokleburst was confirmed in the Bergen's church at Roland and later transferred her membership to the Lutheran church at McCallsburg. She was a faithful wife and loving mother, her interests were centered in her home and family, who will greatly miss her loving service wise counsel.

She had been in failing health for the past few years and quite serious for the past few weeks.

Attending the funeral from a distance were Mr. Moklebust's brother Hans Moklebust, nephew Ole Moklebust and neice, Miss Lareen Olsen of Thor and a sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Olson of Gilbert, Mrs. Moklebust's brother, Oliver Waage of Nevada, as well as a large number of relatives from Gilbert and Story City and other places.
