AGED STORY CITY WOMAN IS DEAD

WAS NATIVE FOR DENMARK AND CAME TO STORY CITY IN 1896

Special to the Journal.
Story City, Nov. 22-- Mrs. Karen Jensen, 89, died at her home of her daughter Mrs. Fred Miller in Story City early today and the funeral services will be held at St. Petri church Tuesday at 1:30, after which interment will be in the Center cemetery west of Story City.

Mrs. Jensen was a native of Denmark, where she was born in 1831. She was married to Nels Jensen in Denmark in 1862 and there they lived until 1896 when they came to America and located at Story City. Mr. Jensen died in 1903.

She leaves her three daughters, Mrs. John M. Johnson of Story City, Mrs. Fred Miller of Story City, Mrs Andrew Miller of Story City, and her sons Martin Jensen of Story City, J. J. Jensen of Des Moines and John Jensen of Denmark.

Mrs. Jensen was one of the oldest women in the community and was well known and very highly respected in the community.
