SOWERS FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON

FORMER FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP WOMAN DIED IN DES MOINES MONDAY.

The funeral of Mrs. T. J. Sowers, 77, was held at the Adams funeral home in Ames this afternoon at two o'clock, after which interment was in the Ames cemetery by the side of the husband, who died at the family home in Gilbert December 26, 1923.

Mrs. Sowers died at her home in Des Moines Monday after an illness of about a month.

The deceased, who was one of the pioneer women of the northwest part of the county and was well-known to many people is survived by six children. Dorothy of Des Moines, George of Story City, Mrs. Alta Ballard of Winterset, Bert of Oakland, Cal., John of Woodland, Cal., and Mrs. Myrtle Gilmore of Los Angeles, Cal.

She also leaves her sister Mrs. Belle Ricketts of Ames, a brother John Smith of Fernald and wide circle of other relatives and friends.
