WILL H. SMITH IS DEAD AT ZEARING
WAS NATIVE OF SCTORY [SIC] COUNTY AND FUNERAL WILL BE HELD FRIDAY
Special to the Journal.
Zearing, Nov. 19--Will H. Smith, 62, died at the home of his mother Mrs. Sarah Smith in Zearing, from heart trouble and other complications.While Mr. Smith had been in failing health for many months, his final illness had been of but about a month's duration.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 either at the home or at a church, while the interment will be in the cemetery at Colo.
Will H. Smith was a son of Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Smith, pioneers of the east part of Story county. He was born near Colo, but was raised on a farm near Zearing.
He had lived at Marshalltown and other points in Iowa and of more later years had been in Florida, until he returned to the home of his mother about three years ago.
He leaves besides his aged mother, one daughter no living in California; a brother Frank Smith of Elmore, Minn., and two sisters, Mrs. A. D. Hix and Mrs. Lew Glanz of Des Moines.
