Mrs. John Mishler Died This Afternoon

Mrs. John Mishler died at her home near Enterprise this afternoon, according to word reaching Nevada. Mrs. Mishler was a sister of Ed Tillotson and Mrs. H. A. Banks of Nevada and was known to many Story county people, especially in the vicinity of Cambridge, where she lived as a girl. She had been ill for some time.

Mishler Funeral Is Not Arranged

Funeral arrangements have not been made for Mrs. Minerva Mishler, 54, who died at her home in Elkhart Friday afternoon, pending word from the son Jacob, who is located in Los Angeles.

Minerva Mae Tillotson, daughter of William and Lydia Tillotson, was born in Story county, Iowa, May 24, 1876. Passed away at her home at Elkhart, Iowa on October 31 at the age of 54 years, 5 months and 7 days. On December 25, 1893 she was united in marriage to John Mishler. To this union 11 children were born all of whom with her husband and 18 grand children survive her Seven sons and four daughters. The sons are John and Charles of Des Moines, Jacob of Los Angeles, Calif., Russell, Harry, Raymond, and Samuel at home. The daughters are Mrs. S. E. Kerris of Elkhart, Mrs. James Scarcello of Fernald, Doris and Lydia at home. She was a family of ten children, six brothers and three sisters, all of whom survive her. The brothers are Charles of Portland, Ore., Ray of Maloy, Iowa; Jake of Maxwell; Ed and David of Nevada, and George of Colorado. The sisters are Mrs. Sylvia Flora of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Susie Dunahoo of Maxwell, Mrs. Howard Banks of Nevada. Also an aunt, Mrs. Ellen Gear of Cedar Rapids, besides many nieces and nephews also a wide circle of friends.

She was a woman that was held in high esteem, a devoted, loving mother.
