SUDDEN DEATH OF MRS. V. W. JUDD

HAD BEEN OUT RIDING AND IN USUAL HEALTH BUT FEW HOURS BEFORE

Mrs. V. W. Judd, age almost 80 years, died at the family home 803 Ninth street, very suddenly on Sunday morning, from heart trouble and other complications.

She had been in her usual health and out riding with her husband and daughter on Saturday, but had been taken ill during Saturday night, from which attack she apparently recovered.

Mr. and Mrs. Judd had been residents of Story county for about 35 years, coming out to this county and settling first on a farm just west of the city. Later, after retiring from active farm work they moved into Nevada, where their home has since been.

One son, a soldier in the Spanish American war, died about 17 years ago and was brought back to Nevada for interment.

Mrs. Judd leaves besides her husband, two daughters, they being Mrs. Ida Rasmusson of Spencer, and Mrs. Bess Montgomery of Chicago and one grandson, Judd Montgomery of Chicago.

The funeral services will be held at the family home on Ninth street Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock after which she will be interred in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Judd was woman devoted to her home and family and a faithful worker in the Methodist church, of which she had been a member for years. Her death will be most sincerely mourned by a wide circle of neighbors and friends and the husband and daughters will be extended the most sincere sympathy of all.
