Mrs. Ersland Died This Afternoon
Mrs. Henry Ersland of Slater died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. E. Croft at 1607 East Thirteenth street in Des Moines this afternoon at 2:45 according to word received by this pager from J. C. Ersland, the son, who was the bedside when his mother died. She had been at the home of the daughter in Des Moines since last Friday. Definite plans for the funeral and interment will be released Thursday.

ERSLAND FUNERAL SATURDAY AT 2:00
WILL BE HELD AT BETHLEHEM CHURCH--INTERMENT IN SLATER CEMETERY
Funeral serveices for Mrs. Henry Ersland, 17, of Slater who died in Des Moines Wednesday afternoon will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Slater Saturday afternoon.
There will be a brief service at the home at 1:30 and the funeral proper at the church at 2:00 after which interment will be in the Slater cemetery.
Mrs. Ersland who had been an invalid for twenty years, was taken to Des Moines the middle of the week and was at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harold Croft, when she was taken worse, lapsed into unconsciousness on Sunday and passed away Wednesday afternoon.
She leaves besides her husband Henry Ersland a pioneer of the Slater neighborhood, six children. They are J. C. Ersland steward of the Story County Farm near Nevada, Harold Ersland, Mrs. Harold Croft and Mrs. H. J. Hillestadt of Des Moines, and Mrs. H. T. Helvig and Mrs. A. Lehman of Slater.
Mrs. Ersland was one of the pioneer women of the Palestine settlement and was well known and very highly respected.
