Mrs. K. W. Southwick Died in Des Moines
Special to the Journal.
Cambridge, Aug. 20--Mrs. K. W. Southwick, 70, for over 48 years a resident of the Cambridge neighborhood, died Tuesday at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines of dropsy of the heart.The funeral will be held in Des Moines Thursday and interment will be in that city.
Mrs. Southwick, whose maiden name was Rena Spar, had lived in Cambridge since her marriage, until about three years ago when failing health made it necessary for Mr. and Mrs. Southwick to give up their home here and go to Des Moines to live with their children.
She leaves her husband and six children, four of whom live in Des Moines. One daughter is dead, a son Clarence lives at Artesian, S. D., another son, Leslie, is in the U. S. navy and the others live in Des Moines.
