ALBERT LUDWIG DIED THIS AFTERNOON

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP FARMER HAD BEEN INVALID FOR 11 YEARS

Albert Ludwig, 47, well known farmer of northwest Sherman township died that afternoon about 1:00 o'clock, after an illness that has extended over a period of twelve years, the trouble being the result of an attack of the flu.

During that period of time he has been at various hospitals and sanitariums for treatment but failed to receive any beneficial results.

Mr. Ludwig, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ludwig of 1204 K avenue, Nevada, leaves besides his wife and two daughters, Fern and Neva, the aged parents, two brothers, Walter of Colorado and Gus Ludwig of Nevada and one sister, Mrs. E. S. D. Kahrs of Ventura, Iowa.

The funeral will be held at the home near Johnson Grove, at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, after which the body will be brought the Nevada cemetery for interment.

Albert George Ludwig, son of Henry and Julia Ludwig, was born November 20, 1882, at Hanover, Germany. He came with his parents to America, settling first in Illinois in October of 1889, and lived there until 1894, when they came on out to Iowa and settled on a farm near McCallsburg.

There he lived until he moved onto his own farm over in the northwest corner of Sherman township, where he continued to live the balance of his life.

He was married on June 12, 1912 to Hazel Morris of the McCallsburg neighborhood and two daughters were born to this union. They are Fern Arlene and Neva Darlene, who with the mother are left to mourn his untimely death.

Mr. Ludwig had been a member of the Johnson Grove Methodist Episcopal church since 1913 and lived and died in that faith.

Mr. Ludwig was taken down with severe case of the flu during the period that that disease was raging in this county and never recovered, death being due to encephalitis, a complication following the flu.
