SUDDEN DEATH OF FERNALD WOMAN
MRS. RAY CHITTY DIED AT HOME OF MOTHER WHERE SHE WAS TAKEN ILL
Mrs. Ray Chitty, 33, died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Lena Boelk in Fernald, at 10:30 A. M., today, death being due to eclampsia. Mrs. Chitty had been ill but a few days and the death came very sudden and as a great shock to member of the family.
No arrangements have been made for the funeral and interment at this time.
Mrs. Chitty, whose maiden name was Ella Boelk, had lived in the vicinity of Fernald all of her life, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boelk.
She was first married to Roy French and to this union two sons were born. One baby died when about a year old and the other, Roger, age 10, survives the parents. Mr. French died December 20, 1923 and in January, 1926, she was married to Ray Chitty, who with her son, survives her.
Besides her husband and one son, she leaves her mother, Mrs. Lena Boelk, a brother Frank Boelk, and five sisters. The sisters are Mrs. Lizzie Dumwalt of Marshalltown, Mrs. Minnie Fitch of near Nevada, Mrs. Lena Prescott of near Nevada, Mrs. Hazel Neeld of Fernald, and Mrs. Viola Baker of near Fernald.
Mrs. Boelk was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Fernald, had always been active in the affairs of that organization, and had a wide circle of friends in that community who were greatly shocked to learn of her untimely death.
