YOUNG FARMER ACCIDENTALLY SHOT AND INSTANTLY KILLED

Slater, May 16--Milton Hill, young farmer of southeast of Slater, is dead from the effects of the accidental discharge of his own shotgun, as he was stepping from the car near his home, Thursday afternoon at 1:30.

Hill had been out hunting and upon starting back home had placed the loaded shotgun in his car. While thee were no witnesses to the tragedy, it is believed that as he started to get out of the car, he accidentally tripped against the trigger of the gun and the charge from the .12 gauge gun struck him in the head, inflicting instantaneous death.

Coroner Mills of McCallsburg, accompanied by Sheriff Hattery, were down from Nevada but it was decided that an inquest was not necessary and none was held.

Hill lived with his family upon a farm a mile and a half southeast of Slater. He leaves his wife and two children, Arlene 8, and Herbert 6, besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hill of Huxley, and a number of brothers adn sisters.
