GRIM REAPER CLAIMS ANOTHER

MITCHELL BALLARD, FORMER CAMBRIDGE MAN DIED AT PANORA

Special to the Journal.
Cambridge, April 22--Mitchell Ballard, a pioneer resident of the Cambridge community, died at the home of his only son W. W. Ballard, at Panora Tuesday night, according to word reaching here today.

The body will be brought back to Cambridge and the funeral will be held a the United Brethren Church here Thursday afternoon at 2:00.

Mr. Ballard had been a farmer south of Cambridge for many years but when his advanced year necessitated his giving up work, he with his wife, went to Panora, to make their home with the son.

He had been failing for some time and death came from complications incident to old age.

Mr. Ballard was well-known in and around Cambridge where he had lived for well over a half century
