Miss Myrtle Christy, 17, died at the her home, 1704 Fifth street, Tuesday afternoon at 4:00, from the effects of carbolic acid taken at noon on Friday, March 21, while in a fit of despondency over ill health.

The girl had apparently rallied for a few days but on Tuesday morning it became apparent that she would not live.

The funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Evangelical church with Rev. Wackerbarth in charge. Interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.

Myrtle Elisabeth Christy, daughter of Arthur B. and Ollie A. Christy, was born at Vinita, Oklahoma, July 24, 1912 and died at Nevada, March 25, 1930. It was about twelve years ago that she came to Nevada with her parent and her home had been here since.

She had attended the schools of the city and was junior in high school when this unfortunate affair resulted in her death.

Myrtle leaves her father Arthur B. Christy of St. Paul, her mother Mrs. Ollie A. Christy of Nevada, sister Christine Christy of Pueblo, Colo., and Mrs. Lorraine Garrison, of Riceville, Iowa, brothers Walter Christy of San Francisco, Calif., Earl Christy of St. Paul and half brother Robert David Tillotson of Nevada.

All members of the famly will be here for the funeral Thursday with the exception of the brother Walter Christy of San Francisco.

It was said at the high school this afternoon that it was probable the Junior class would attend the funeral in a body and other high school students will be allowed to absent themselves from school to attend the services if they so desired. The matter was to be taken up at the assembly this afternoon.
