The deceased maiden names was Ella Elzy, a daughter of the late J. C. Elzy. She was born in Marshall county, August 25, 1865 and came to Story county with her parents when but about a year old. Her entire girlhood was spent in or near Nevada, where she had a wide acquaintance. She was united in marriage to John P. Booher, February, 20, 1889. To this union six children were born. The eldest, Clargene is dead. Of the five surviving children, four are girls and one boy.

About three years ago the family moved to Crookston, Minn., where the husband was in the real estate business. Mrs. Booher had been ill but a short time and her death was rather unexpected. She was a good woman and had a great many warm friends among her acquaintances. The husband and children as well as the brothers, sisters and other relatives have the sympathy of the community.
