Death of L. Ross.

ONTARIO, April 9.--Louristian Ross was born October 8, 1851, at LaPorte, Ind., and died at his home in Ontario on April 3, 1906, age 55 years, 5 months and 25 days. He was married in 1872 to Miss Catherine Coffman who has been his faithful help mate through life. To this union seven children were born, all of whom survive him. At the age of 32 he united with the Baptist church of which he was a faithful member until 12 years ago when he united with the Christian church of this place of which he was a member at the time of his death. Although Brother Ross has been in poor health for some time his illness was not considered serious until a short time before his death. During the last few days his suffering was intense, but through it all his faith in the Lord did not waiver and when questioned as to his faith his reply was, yes. Besides his seven children of whom but three remain at home he leaves a loving wife, and aged mother, five brothers and one sister to mourn his departure to the better land. The funeral services were held at the Christian church here, by his pastor, Rev. Liverett, and were conducted by the I. O. O. F. lodge of which he was a very faithful member. The remains were interred in the Ontario cemetery.
