OBITUARY

Thea Jondall Barnes, oldest daughter of Elsa and Ole Jondall was born in Story City on October 7, 1885 and died January 25, 1967.

She married Thor Barnes in 1922 at Huxley and the couple farmed near there until her husband died in 1928, after which she moved back, to Story City.

Mrs. Barnes-is survived by a son, Theodore of Ottumwa; three grandchildren; one brother Henry Jondall, Story City; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Jacobson
and Marie Jondall, both of Story City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son in infancy, two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 28 at 2 p. m. from the St. Petri. Lutheran church, Story City. The Rev. Rhuben O. Aga was in charge.

Mrs. Joel Jacobson, organist, accompanied Mrs. Andy Nelson, soloist.

Pall bearers were John Valen, Milo Helland, Steven Twedt, Lawrence Osheim, Arnold Johnson, Vernon Munson.

Interment was at Fjelberg Cemetery, Huxley.

The family of Mrs. Thea Barnes wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbors for all cards in memoriams, flowers, lunch served by her circle at the church dinner brought in by neighbors and to Pastor Aga for his visit and to Mrs. Andy Nelson for her singing and Mrs. Joel Jacobson the organist, and the many other acts of kindness.
