JONDALL, GANGESTAD, HURLEY, LUFT, JACOBSON, QUAM

Henry W. Jondall, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. H. Jondall, was born January 4th, 1899. His early life was spent in Roland, and at the age of 21 years be enlisted in the medical department of the U.S. Army at Fort Snelling, Minn.

On Feb. 15, 1927, he was united in marriage to Esther Gangestad of Gilmore City, and they made their home at Fort Dodge. He was in business there until illness affected his health.

He was taken to the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, where an operation for ulcers was performed. He failed to rally from the effects of the operation and died on Saturday afternoon, July 15, before his parents and sister, who were summoned, were able to reach him. His wife waa at his bedside at the time of death. He was 40 years, six months and 11 days old.

He is survived by his wife, bis parents; two brothers,Alfred and Milford Jondall of Chicago; and four sisters, Mrs. Frank Hurley of Des Moines, Mrs. Leo Luft of Chicago, Mrs. Harry Jacobson of Story Ctty and Mrs. James Quam of Seattle, Wash., all of whom were present at the funeral with the exception of Mrs. Quam.

The funeral was held at the Wilder Funeral Home in Fort Dodge Tuesday, with Rev. T. V. Harvey officiating, and the body was taken to Gllmore City for burial. The pall bearers were brothers-in-law of the deceased: Glen E. Gangestad of Fort Doge; Peter Gangestad of Fairmont, Nebr., Alfred and Melvin Gangestad of Gilmore City, F. D. Damon of Fort Dodge, and Harry Jacobson. of Story City.

Those in attendance at the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. John S. H. Jondall of Roland, Mrs. L. A. Luft and Beverly Jean, and Alfred and Milford Jondall of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hurley and Betty Lou of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jacobson, and Julia, Ole, Clarence, Betty and Loretta Monson of Story City, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Jacobson of Duncombe; Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Sherwood. and, Mr. and Mrs A. E. Sherwood of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gangestad of Fairmont, Neb., Peter Holster of Chicago, and relatives from Fort Dodge and Gilmore City.
