Mrs. Arnold Bowers

Mrs. Berdella Jondall Bowers was born in Roland May 7, 1909, and died at the Mary Greeley hospital in Ames Friday, April 12, 1935, at the ago of 25 years, 11 months, 5 days.

Her early life was spent in the Roland community and she was baptized and confirmed in Bergen Lutheran church.

On Feb. 16, 192S, she was united in marriage to Arnold Bowers of Ames. They lived for three years at Ontario and then two years in Nebraska, returning again to Ontario, where they have since resided.

Three children were born to this union, Marilyn Jean, Richard Eugene, who died in November, 1933, and the infant daughter, Berdella May who died at the time of birth with her mother.

Surviving are her husband and one daughter, Marilyn, age 5 years, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Jondall of Roland, three brothers, Henry Jondall of Fort Bodge, Alfred and Milford Jondall of Chicago, and four sisters, Mrs. James Quam of Story City, Mrs. Frank Hurley of Des Moines, Mrs. Leo A. Luft of Chicago and Miss Clara Jondall of Roland.

The funeral was held at Bergen church Tuesday afternoon, April 16, with Rev. M. O. Sumstad officiating. A short service was also held at Ontario earlier in the day. Interment was made in the Roland cemetery. The pall bearers were employees of the Ames Reliable Feed Co. at Ontario, where. Mr. Bowers is also employed. Theo. Quam sang a solo, accompanied by Mrs. E. I. Rosheim.
