John S. Jondall Died Suddenly

John S. Jondall, 42, died at the Story City hospital Friday morning at 5:30 a.m., of diabetes. He was taken ill suddenly at noon Thursday while attending a farm sale east of town. He was taken immediately to his home and later to the hospital, but died without regaining consciousness.

Mr. Jondall was born in Story City. Following his marriage he moved to Minnesota, returning to Story City seven years ago where he has since made his home on the small farm a mile northwest of town. He is survived by his wife, a son, Vernon, aged 10, his mother, Mrs. Ole Jondall, brother, Henry, and sisters, Mrs. Clarence Jacobson, Mrs. Ole O. Jacobson, Mrs. Thea Barnes and Miss Marie Jondall, all of Story City.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2 o'clock in the St. Petri church, with Rev. W. B. Scarvie officiating. Burial was in the Story City cemetery.
