Mike Temple 59, of Melbourne, Iowa formally of Ames, passed away August 16, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Michael Ray Temple was born February 2, 1958 in Ames to John and Ruby (Anfinson) Temple. Mike grew up in Ames and graduated from Ames High School in 1977.

Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, softball, music and going to the casino. He worked for the city of Ames for 24 years retiring in 2003 because of his health.

Mike is survived by one sister, Linda Sills of Melbourne; three brothers Jerry Temple of Summerville in South Carolina, Roger (Joan) Temple of Boone and David (Cheri) Temple of Ames.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Nancy Temple and Sandra Harriman.
