OBITUARY.
Charles Lhommedieu died Monday morning, Sept. 16, 1912, a five-thirty at the home of his daughter, Miss Addie Lhommedieu. He has been in declining health for a number of years and has been a helpless invalid for a long time and for the past ten days he has failed in strength quite rapidly. He was in his eighty-fourth year. Funeral services were held at the home this afternoon at two o'clock.

Obituary
Charles Lhommedieu as born in Smithville, Chenango County, New York March 10th 1829 and died September 15, 1912 aged 83 years and 6 months. When a young man he moved with his parents to Sycamore, Ill. and was then married to Lois Allen in 1848. Two daughters were born to them and in a few short years his wife passed away. In 1861 he married Miss Margaret Bandfield. To this union seven children were born. In 1875 he was again bereft of his companion, and in 1881 he with his children came to Colo where he had since resided. He leaves to mourn his loss eight children: Amy (Mrs. W. H. Young) of Sycamore, Ill., Addie, with whom he made his home, Charles of Jackson, Minnesota, Byron of Hayden, Colorado, Flora Mrs. H. A. Dayton of Colo, Irving of Boone, Carrie Mrs. C. A. Shepherd of Boulder, Colorado and Arthur of Sycamore, Ill. Twelve grand children and eighteen great grand children, one brother and four sisters besides numerous friends. Although for a number of years he was unable to enjoy the companionship of his relatives and friend yet he has many friends who remember when he was a cheerful companion and a lover of children. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon conduced by Rev. S. Skogsberg of Iowa Center assisted by Rev. J. [K.? H------.] Interment was [----] in the Colo cemetery.
