Thomas Dolan

Thomas Dolan, son of Peter Dolan of Nevada, was born in Bertram, Linn county, Iowa, March 10, 1869 and died at his home in Colo, June 5, 1912, aged 43 years, 2 months and 23 days. His home was always in Iowa, but for several years he traveled in the west. On June 5, 1900 he married Anna O'Donnell at Colo and they have since resided here. Surviving him are his wife and daughter Sarah, his father and stepmother of Nevada, his brother John Dolan of Worth, Worth, Texas, three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Cody of Lake City, Mr. Dunkelbarger of Davenport and Mrs. Bullock of south of Colo. These relatives were all at the funeral except the brother John who arrived late. Other friends from out of town were John Cody of Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Tyler and Mr. Scarconio of Des Moines, Mrs. Kate Foley of Lake City, Mrs. Mason of Marshalltown and numerous friends from State Center and Nevada.

Father Nichols conducted the funeral on Friday and burial was at Colo.

Mr. Dolan had long been in poor health but his death was very sudden and resulted from heart failure owing to general weakness. He always had a pleasant word for those he met, and his cheery greeting will be greatly missed. General sympathy is extended to the [unable to read the rest of the sentence.]
