Funeral of Mrs. Norris.

The funeral services of Mrs. A. M. Norris was conducted by Rev. R. W. Matheny at the home of son W. T. on Saturday afternoon and burial was in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery. The occasion was one of congratulation as well as of mourning. Mrs. Norris worthy life had closed as she had wished it might. Her yearly found of winter with the Millers in Chicago and summer with Mrs. Dawson in Des Moines and the sons in Nevada had brought her to the home of her youngest; her final illness short and eased by tender ministrations of her daughters, had been in the town of her old home; and now has posterity amid the sympathy of old friends and neighbors laid her dust beside that of her husband and Fred and her other dear ones. The day was ideal "everything was as mother wished it might be," it was said. Besides her spirit had reached hopefully to the unseen. Thus the span of seventy-nine years was ended, but the kindliness that had emanated from the life would still go on.
