MRS. FRED COOK
Mrs. Fred Cook died at her home in Mullen settlement Saturday evening March 12, 1904, funeral services were held in the M. E. church Monday forenoon and conducted by Rev. Mr. Nye. Her death was the result of generally impaired health, a severe attack of "grip" and premature childbirth, and brings sincere sorrow a to a large circle of relatives and friends. Her maiden name was Lura J. Finley. She was daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Finley among the early and highly respected residents of the county. She was married the 9th of August '99 to Mr. Frederick Cook the old pastor Rev. J. W. Henderson officiating. The husband but no children survive her. Of the immediate friends aside from the husband who are left to mourn her loss are three sisters, Mrs. Jacob Fultz, Mrs. S. D. Booher, Mrs. S. McConnell and Mrs. Mack Moran, and her brothers--Wm. V. and Oscar J. Finley. She united with the Evangelical church in 1890, lived a worthy christian and will be regretfully missed from the community in which her life has been lived. Her family and friends are grateful for all kindness extended during these their days of bereavement.
