THOMAS JONDALL DEAD.
In the death of Thomas H. Jondall at Roland Friday, March 4, 1904, his home friends, and this community have occasion for sincere sorrow. In his own personality he was worthy and valuable as a member of the family circle and as a citizen of the town and the state. And then the time of his death, in the prime of young manhood, the loss of his young wife only one short year ago, and the double orphanage of two little ones, render his passing peculiarly sad. His fatal illness was of several months duration and every thing that tender care and best medical skill would do to save his life was done, but without avail. He bore his sickness with Christian courage and fortitude and answered the summons of the death angel with that confident faith which looks beyond the horizon of earthly things, and beholds the "ever greenhills of life"--Life eternal. Mr. Jondall was 30 years old and a native of Howard township and grew to manhood within its borders. He was married in 1900 to Miss Sara Hammersland. He was of a kindly disposition and formed lasting friendships. He was a member of the local Masonic order and in his last days was the recipient of its thoughtful ministries. Few young men were better or more favorably known than our friend and everybody's friend, Thomas Jondall. E. F. B.
