Nancy Oxley Weatherman was born June 7, 1942 in Nevada, IA to Owen Samuel Oxley and Marjorie (Tillotson) Oxley. She attended Nevada Community Schools.

On August 7, 1959, she married Bobbie Lee Weatherman. They were blessed with three sons, Randy, Jeffrey, and Timothy.

Nancy retired in May 2002 from Fidelity Bank, Huxley IA where she worked for thirty years. She then worked part time for Interstate Battery Systems for eight years.

She was an active member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cambridge, IA and served as church treasurer and council member. She loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s sports activities.

Nancy is survived by her children Randy (Kathy), Jeff (Traci), Tim (Joy) Weatherman; 9 grandchildren: Brandon (Abby) Hoppenworth, Brianna (Lee) Kelsey, Barret (Ashley) Hoppenworth, Brock Weatherman, Chelsea (Jake) Olson, Dillon Weatherman, Trent, Tanner and Jenna Weatherman; and seven great-grandchildren; six sisters, Kathryn (Harry Amenson), Wanda Barnett, Maxine Fry, Joan Banks, Pauline Breer, Janice (Max) Dobson; and one brother, Donald (Bev) Oxley and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on June 1, 1997; her parents; two brothers: Howard and Owen Oxley; and four brothers-in-law: Dean Barnett, John Fry, Wilbert Breer, and Laurence Banks, Jr; and one sister-in-law, Wilma Oxley.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 27 at Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 28 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cambridge with Pastor Marcia Kisner officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Cambridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cambridge, Cambridge Fire Department, or Israel Family Hospice House.

Rasmusson-Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
