David William Henricks
December 19, 1962 - June 18, 2017David Henricks, age 54, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at his residence in Ames, IA.
David William Henricks was born in Eldora, IA on December 19, 1962 to the late Dean Henricks and Lucille (Twito) Broer Henricks. He grew up on a farm south of Hubbard with his two sisters Rebecca and Kathy and brother Scott.David was baptized and confirmed at the Zion United Church of Christ in Hubbard, IA.
He received his education by attending Hubbard Community School and graduated from high school with the Class of 1982. After graduation, he attended and completed his Associate Degree from Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, IA.
Throughout his life his main jobs were involved in the agriculture industry. Most recently, he was employed as a sales person at Phelps Implement in Hubbard, IA. He is remembered by all who loved him as a devoted and caring father, son, and friend.
As a child, he was an adventurer and daredevil, and he grew into a kind and patient man whose presence enriched the lives of everyone who had the good fortune to know him. Above all else, he was dedicated to his daughters who were the great joy of his life. He thoroughly enjoyed being a “hockey dad”.
He is survived by his daughters, Megan Henricks and Sydney Henricks both of Ames, IA; his mother Lucille Henricks of Hubbard, IA; siblings Rebecca Brask of Fredrikstad, Norway, Kathy Smith of Novi, MI, and Scott Henricks of Fort Lauderdale, FL, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dean Henricks.
