Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.
Olive Adora Peterson Booth (Pete), aged 93, of Ames, passed away Saturday in her home at
the Rose Assisted Living Facility.She was born on September 14, 1923 in Lake Mills, IA, the third daughter of Wilmer Gerhard
Peterson and Ella Agnes Hermanson. At the age of 5 her family moved from Lake Mills to
Ames, Iowa where she attended Ames Community Schools. After graduating from Ames High
School in 1940 she was employed as a secretary at various businesses including the Ames
Atomic Energy Commission.She married Larry Charles Booth on May 16, 1947 in Ames, Iowa. They moved to Davenport, Iowa where they made their home for 30 years before retiring to Heber Springs, Arkansas in 1981. Olive moved back to Ames, Iowa in 1997 following the death of her husband, Larry.
Olive is survived by her son, Larry Charles Booth, Jr., of Ames; her daughter-in law Marilyn
Brauhn Booth, of Ames; grandson Matthew Charles Booth, of Des Moines, Iowa; granddaughter Adria
Marie Booth-Tyler of Waterloo, Iowa; grandson Zachary Michael Booth of Carlsbad, California;
great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Nicole Tyler of Waterloo, Iowa; great-granddaughter Jacqueline
Marie Tyler of Waterloo, Iowa; great-granddaughter Rebecca Lynn Tyler of Waterloo, Iowa; and
several nieces and nephews.Olive is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Charles Booth; her sister, Wilma Esther
Stutzman; her sister, Arlene Adeline Oakleaf; her brother Robert Duaine Peterson; and her
sister Lavonne Alice Erickson.Interment will follow at a later date in Lake Mills, Iowa.
In Lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials be made out to Ascension Lutheran Church. 2400 Bloomington Road, Ames, IA 50010
