Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Bruce Franklin Kellogg was born October 2, 1927 to Sylvester and Marjorie (Keller) Kellogg in Winterset, Iowa. On November 21, 1948 Bruce married Mildred Pritchard in Winterset Iowa. Bruce served in the U.S. Army from January of 1945 to March of 1947 and was trained as a x-ray technician. After his Honorable Discharge, he continued his work as a x-ray technician for 42 years at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames and then for 5 years at the Theilen Student Health Center at Iowa State University. He retired in 1994. Bruce was a member of the Iowa Society of Radiologic Technologists (ISRT) and on the former Ames City Employee Credit Union Board. He enjoyed camping, fishing trips to Minnesota and Canada, photography, reading books, and trains.

Bruce passed away at 89 years of age on April 14, 2017 at the Story County Medical Center in Nevada, Iowa.

Bruce is survived by his children, Chuck (Holly) Kellogg of Ames, Alice (Alan) Rippel of Gallatin, Tenn., and Cheryl (John) Dunkin of Ames; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Kellogg; his son, Jeff Kellogg; his brother, Miles Kellogg; and two sisters, Beth Greenwood and Edmoina "Billie" Leonard.

Adams Funeral Home in Ames is assisting the family with arrangements.
